Protecting Forests. Empowering Youth. Advancing Wangari Maathai's Legacy.

Kenya's forests are under threat - we lose over 200,000 acres to deforestation every single year - and traditional response systems aren't keeping pace.

As an innovator, you have the power to build solutions that can detect illegal logging in real-time, track conservation impact with precision, and educate communities in ways never before possible.

We are commemorating 20 years since Prof. Wangari Maathai received the Nobel Peace Prize and this hackathon is a powerful opportunity to honour her enduring legacy and carry forward her vision for a greener, more peaceful, equitable and just world.

Be a hummingbird, join the movement.
